After posting that last post, fell deeply asleep until 9:30. M called while I was zzzz'ing. He'd finished his hockey game, and because he had to leave the office quickly earlier wanted to wish me a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Now THAT is a friend. A dear one. Glad we're past all that other stuff.

And speaking of dear friends--Jer, thank you so much for dropping by. I'm sorry I wasn't home then (yes was still at work but keeping M company). Scared me to death that you used an LCBO bag, but was relieved to see from your e mail that all is well. Your prezzie is waiting. And I loved the "hot Toddy" card. More of those please!!!

And speaking of cards, NBG left me a voice mail message thanking me for the card with pets of the type he has at home on it--that's why I gave him that card and he knew it. Despite his claims to be unfeeling, that voice mail message and common sense tells me that he's a very feeling guy, and a sweet one. MWAH!

NBL was at the party today. She's still so very fragile. Besides all the other horrid things she's gone through, her hubby has pneumonia. How much can one body take? Bottom line, she won't be back for a long time. Just wanted to hug her and pour love into her poor little body.
