Dancin' In The Moonlight
Hi world, how are you this All Hallow's Eve?
Have a functioning furnace again, thanks to my pal's nephew, bless his heart. Couldn't really afford it but tipped him and his friend an extra $400 for doing everything so fast and cheap. Explained that because of him I spent hours yesterday cleaning up the blinking basement. Mouse traps, mouse ummm leavings, cobwebs, spiderwebs, dust, small appliances that no longer work all hit the dust. Even an old clothes basket got tossed. Vacuumed the whole shootin' match, including dusting off the stupid furnace and hot water heater. Vacuumed the ceiling (no it isn't finished), held off on doing laundry, cleaned up a year's worth of mess on a 10' long workbench. I mean, this was a 'class' job. The UPSTAIRS isn't as clean as the basement (but de-cluttered up there too).
Didn't want him telling my bud how bad it was down there before!
Work went well too but it's so packed with stuff to do that I can't remember most of it. The troops are happy and productive...am trying to hire another great person, so things are looking up. New boss still being great, coworkers (except an insecure type who's threatened by ability--oh well) are very supportive and great. Even eating plan going fine until tonight when I had umm chocolate left over. Well, that's going to work. Let's make everyone ELSE get fat!
Most Spoiled Cat In The Universe is thrilled to have heat again, although the space heaters did a good job.
Had trick-or-treaters for the first time in 3 years--lots of them. They were all sweet little kids under 10.
Did a Cuba post for Zombieslayer.
Off to bed. Have to get up early.
Nighty night, world!

There will always be those insecure types in a work environment. Looking back, I can recall at least one in every place I have ever worked.

Storm, you're right. The really bad part is when they're (your) manager. Thank God she isn't mine!
Makes a heck of an argument for getting into one of those 'in charge of yourself' type fields, huh?
Oh well, only 6 more years to go...actually 5 and change.
